Introduction
Anur is a holy village near Kamarpukur , the birth place of
Thakur Sree Ramakrishna , in the district of Hooghly, West Bengal , about 100 kms from Kolkata ( Calcutta) . This
village is blessed with the foot print of Thakur who visited the village on FOOT . Anur is
also the home ( Vastu ) of Smt. Katyayani Devi , elder sister of Thakur Sree
Ramakrishna . To commemorate
the holy visit , the blessed villagers established the “ ANUR SREE RAMAKRISHNA
SARADA ASHRAMA AND SANGHA ‘’in 1985 with the active and kind assistance of
Param Pujya Swami Nirjharanandaji Maharaj . Since its foundation , the
Society has been involved in various Religious , Social & Cultural
activities in the community , as
mentioned bellow .
Religious Activities
i) Daily offerings
of Puja,Prayer,Arati and devotional songs to Sree Sree Ramakrishna ( The famous Hindu Prophet of 19th century in India
who was born in a poor Brahmin family in rural Bengal in 1836 ), Sree Sree Ma Sarada Devi (The devoted wife of Sree Ramakrishna Dev , born in 1853
in a small rural village
in Bengal ) and Swami
Vivekananda ( The chief
deciple of Sree Ramakrishna , and the founder of The
Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna
Mission , who was born in 1863 in present Kolkata)
